Do I look as huge as I feel? Definitely feel ready to have my little boy come out at any time.
I had an ultrasound today just to check his size. James was able to come with me since I made the appointment early enough (7:30am, ugh!). I had some people ask me if he was head down yet and I felt as though he was since last week but since I have never experienced it before I wasn't quite sure. Today's appointment confirmed it. He is head down and his little butt is at the top of my stomach, both his feet are on my right side which I knew because he always kicks me there! The doctor said that he is measuring at 6 1/2 lbs at this point so that could mean a 7 1/2-8 lb baby but ultrasounds are never perfect so he could be less, could be more. Depending on when he decides to arrive, of course. She did an internal exam and said I am 1 1/2 cm dilated and that his head is pretty low in the pelvic area. Which she was very happy about. She said that first time moms don't usually have the baby this low at this point so its good progress! I told her that I have been having a lot of Braxton-Hicks lately and she said that was good as well. She doesn't think I will go over my due date which I am happy about. Everything looks great and hopefully it won't be too much longer!!
